How Do I Reset the Workflow Step of an Application?

In this article, you will learn how to reset the workflow step of an application.

This feature allows you to reactivate a canceled or paused application or delete a pre-scheduled rejection.

Important: This feature is only available to administrators and works only if the job is still active.

How to reset the workflow step:

Open the relevant application in Softgarden and click on the three dots at the top right.

Click here on the entry “Change workflow step to new”.

Click the “Reset” button to confirm.

The application is now back in the “New” workflow step.

Notes:

  • Rejection notifications scheduled for delayed sending are also deleted when the status is reset.

  • After the reset, the application returns to the "New" status and can be processed again.

  • If the job is no longer active, the workflow step cannot be reset. Please first access the job by clicking on the job title located below the applicant's name.

  • There, you can reopen the job using the three-dot menu in the top right corner and then reset the application status to "New."

  • Once all applications are back in the final "Hired" or "Rejected" stages, you can close the job again using the three-dot menu in the top right corner.

  • The "Restart process" function is generally not available for agency applications.

The reason for this is that agency applications are linked to a specific recruitment agency, and the application status originally transmitted must remain traceable. Resetting the process would compromise this traceability.

  • An exception applies to agency applications created via email upload.

Since these are not linked to an agency record in the system, the workflow step for these applications can be reset as usual.
