What does “protected area” mean when calling up an internal advertisement or an internal iFrame link?

This help article covers IP restrictions and how to enable or disable IP addresses for access to internal tenders.

If the message “Protected area” appears when opening an internal advertisement or an internal iFrame link, this means that an active IP restriction has been set up in the job portal and the IP address of the person calling up has not been released.

How is access enabled?

In order for employees to be able to view internal positions, an internal company person with an administrator role in the area must be:

Settings → Individualization → Job portal

do one of the following:

Option 1: Disable IP restriction

The IP restriction can be switched off completely so that all logged in employees have access.

Option 2: Store IP addresses

The IP addresses or IP ranges of the employees who require access can be entered in the “Enter IP/Range (CIDR)” field. Only approved IP addresses can open internal locations in detail.

Important note

Coordination with the company's internal IT department may be required to enter and maintain the required IP addresses and IP ranges. Softgarden cannot offer support for determining or evaluating the internally required IP addresses or ranges.
