How can I control when automatic rejection emails are sent to applicants?

This help article explains how to manage automatic rejections—specifically, how to determine after how many business days the system automatically sends a rejection email to applicants.

In softgarden, administrators can specify after how many working days an automatic rejection email will be sent to applicants. The delay only takes effect if the function is activated.

Where can I find the setting?

Configuration takes place in the administration area under:

Path: Settings -> Customization -> Automated emails

What settings are available here?

In this area, you can:

  • Enable or disable automatic rejections

  • Specify the number of business days that must elapse before the automatic rejection is sent

  • Select the reason for rejection to be used for the automated rejection

  • Define the message template (email template) for the automatic rejection email

Important information about calculating working days

  • The counting begins as soon as the applicant is placed in the corresponding rejection status.

  • Only working days (Monday to Friday) are counted.

  • Softgarden uses global business day logic that works independently of regional or national holidays.

  • The automatic rejection will only be sent if:

    • the function is activated and

    • the set number of working days has completely elapsed.
