How to Activate and Customize the Get Connected Area?

This help article is about how to activate and customize the Get Connected area and make it available for unsolicited applications in the job portal.

Job seekers can be added to the talent pool without submitting a prior application. To do this, an additional section "Get in touch" can be activated in the job portal.

Activating the Function

Activate the Function

Click on your profile picture in the top right corner → Settings → Additional features → General settings and activate the “Get Connected” switch.

You can also find the link to the Get Connected website in this section.

Show section in the job portal

Go to Customization → Job Portal and activate the "Display 'get connected' link" toggle. Then, click "Save changes" in the top right corner.

⚠️ Note: This step can be skipped if you want to make the area accessible exclusively via a link.

How does "Get Connected" work?

Potential candidates can enter their profile in the “Get in touch” area. After clicking “Send” you will automatically receive a confirmation of receipt by email.

The content of this email can be edited under Settings → Customization → Email Templates by a person with the "Administrator" role or a suitably customized role.

Customize the "Get Connected" form

The form can be individually configured. In the Settings → Customization → Job Portal section, you can determine which fields are displayed and whether they are optional or mandatory:

Available fields:

  • Salutation – optional

  • Academic title – optional

  • Career level – optional

  • Current position – optional

  • CV upload – optional

  • CV import via XING – optional

You are free to decide which fields applicants see and which ones are mandatory.

Design the "Get Connected" Site

The page design is based on the settings found under:

Settings → Customization → Job Portal

This means that colors, fonts, the logo, and other layout elements automatically match your company's job portal settings.
