Introduction
When enabled, modern job ads replace the standard design configured in the applicant management system. You can enable or disable modern job ads at any time.
We recommend enabling this central feature of the career page. Modern job ads are designed by our expert team to ensure optimal conversion.
Assign Job Layout
You can create different versions of modern job ads. Each new version must be assigned to a job layout from your applicant management system.

But first configure the default:
This layout is applied when you do not want to use specific job layouts from the applicant management system and want all job ads to look the same.
This layout is also automatically adopted when you remove a template in the applicant management system, but the application form on the career page is still assigned to this template.
Click the first tile "Default".
The default layout uses the best-practice template out-of-the-box. Click the three-dot menu to change the template for the default layout.
Structure of the Best-Practice Template
The best-practice template is designed so that all important information fits within a viewport, regardless of the device.
Generally, the layout is divided into three parts.
On the left side, you have the option to enhance the layout with suitable visual material (including video).
In the middle, the job ad text entered in the applicant management system is displayed. You can optionally activate and fill the job benefits section below the ad text.
On the right side is the call-to-action area, which can be configured to your liking.
General Settings
The following general settings are available:
Intro text
In this optional text, you can briefly describe your company. Please note that this text can only be entered in one language. If you have job ads in different languages, we recommend deleting this text.Show number of job applicants
Do you want to keep transparent how many people have already applied for this job? Then activate this switch. The number is synchronized once a day.Show softgarden feedback widget in the footer of the job ad
If the employer reviews add-on is included in your plan and there are enough reviews, you can display your rating in the footer of the job ad.
Custom Job Attributes
By default, the following job attributes entered in the applicant management system are also displayed in modern job ads:
Working hours
Location
Target group
Date
Salary
Remote status
Activate the "Custom job attributes" switch to edit the list.
Custom Social Media Buttons
By default, the following buttons for sharing are displayed in your job ads:
X (Twitter)
Facebook
LinkedIn
XING (new in Release 32)
Copy/share link
Activate the switch “Custom social media buttons” to edit this list.
We advise against disabling the “Copy/share link” button, as this would disable the system-level sharing function on mobile devices. As a result, the job ads cannot be shared at all.
Image Set
On the left side, you can enhance the layout with suitable visual material.
A total of five image slots are available, with the first image also being replaceable by a video.
You can embed videos by inserting either a YouTube or Vimeo link. The links must be generated via the share button on both YouTube and Vimeo and then fully copied into the component.
Your videos on YouTube and Vimeo must not be set to "private", but to "public" or "unlisted".
Both services require cookies, which will be listed accordingly in the cookie consent banner integrated into your career page.
Benefits
You can optionally integrate job benefits into your layout. To do this, activate the corresponding switch.
If your company values above-average benefits, we recommend enabling this section. From our experience, benefits are one of the decisive reasons for applicants to apply.
First, adjust the headline in this section if necessary.
You can add any number of benefits. Click the plus symbol to do so.

Additional icons can be added upon request: Please visit the website https://www.swifticons.com/ and choose one or more icons. Then contact our support. We will integrate the icon in one of our regular releases.

SEO Settings
Modern job ads are already optimized for search engines. However, it is important to make some personal settings to achieve the best results.
Page title, meta description, keywords
In these fields, you can use variables that automatically convert certain attributes of your ad into text. The following variables are available:

Preview image for social media
Whenever someone shares the link to a job ad, e.g., on social media, an image appears above the job title, if available. You should insert this image here.Hide this page in search results
By default, this switch is disabled. This means that your job ads can be indexed immediately after publication as soon as a search engine bot visits your page. If you want to prevent this, activate the switch. However, we do not recommend this as it will make your job ads unfindable by search engines. After repeatedly disabling the switch, you will need to wait until they are re-indexed.
Flexible Layouts
In Release 30, a new template system for jobs was introduced, allowing you (in addition to the best-practice template) to use flexible layouts.
Unlike the best-practice template, which has a fixed structure, the new system allows you to design all content and its order according to your preferences, similar to your career page.
Click the plus symbol.
You can now choose from three flexible templates.
Each template is merely a suggestion for designing your job ads. However, you can modify all components of the template according to your wishes.
Flexible – Modern
The modern template works with one or more images arranged in a gallery.
We recommend using this template if you want to use only one or two images in the layout. Please note that if only one image is used, it must be in stretched landscape format.
Flexible – Fancy
The "Fancy" template requires four images and is essentially the best-practice template in landscape format.
Flexible – Minimalistic
The minimalistic template does not use any images.
As with any flexible template, you can use almost all components familiar from the career page builder.
