How to Integrate the softgarden Job Portal into an Existing Website?

This help article is about the various options for integrating the softgarden job portal into an existing company website via link, iFrame or API.

With softgarden, you have various options available to seamlessly integrate your job portal into your company website.

Standard job portal (frontend)

  1. The job portal is provided directly by softgarden.

  2. It is accessible via your personal subdomain, e.g.: https://yourcompany.softgarden.io

  3. You can make basic adjustments (logo, colors, filter options) in the system under Settings → Individualization → Job portal.

Connection options

1. Direct linking

  • You can include the link to the job portal anywhere on your website.

  • If an applicant clicks on it, he or she leaves your website and goes directly to your softgarden portal (e.g. yourcompany.softgarden.io).

Advantages:

  • Very easy to implement

  • No technical effort required

  • Ready for immediate use

2. iFrame integration

  • The standard job portal can be embedded directly into your website via an iFrame.

  • Visitors remain on your domain—both visually and technically—while the content (job ads, filters, search functions) is loaded from softgarden.

Content Display:

  • You can find the required iFrame code in the system under Settings → Individualization → Job portal → iFrame.

  • Copy the code and pass it on to your IT or marketing department.

  • The iFrame is then embedded on the desired page of your website (e.g., under "Careers" or "Jobs").

Tip:

  • You can use the iFrame to use individual pre-filtering, e.g. a separate page for apprenticeships, where only trainee positions are displayed.

⚠️ Note: Embedding via iFrame is technically possible but not recommended for complex integrations, as there may be limitations regarding SEO, tracking, and accessibility.

3. API integration

  • You can display the entire process individually on your website using the softgarden API.

  • Job data, filters and application forms are integrated via an interface.

Advantages:

  • Full control over design and user experience

  • Seamless integration into existing systems

  • Ideal for custom-developed websites or CMS solutions

Note:

  • This option offers maximum flexibility but requires support from your IT department or an external agency.
