Frontend API v3 – Multiple applications & existing email (for HR)

This help article covers the option to allow multiple applications using the same email address via Frontend API v3, as well as the necessary workaround that does not require a login.

What is this about?

At softgarden, the general rule is: one email address = one applicant account. However, if you wish to allow multiple applications without a login, there is a possible workaround: you can have us disable the duplicate email check and assign a dummy username when creating the account—while keeping the original email address.

Proceeding without a login

⚠️ Only use this method if it is genuinely necessary from a business perspective, as it can result in the creation of separate accounts.

  1. Disable the duplicate email check: We can turn off the check for existing applications.

  2. Use a dummy username: Assign a unique username when creating the account (e.g., [email protected] or a technical identifier). Important: Only the username needs to be a dummy; the email address provided can remain the original one, since the duplicate check is disabled.

Who do I contact regarding the duplicate check?

Contact the technical softgarden support team. Briefly describe which check you wish to disable and for which use cases.
