Introduction
Once enabled, the new application form replaces the standard application form. You can enable or disable the new application form at any time.
We recommend enabling this central feature of the career page. The new application form has been developed by our expert team to ensure optimal conversion.
Assign Job Layout
You can create different versions of the application form. Each new version must be assigned to a template from your applicant management system.
Templates are managed in the applicant management system here: https://app.softgarden.io/just-hire/settings/customization/job-ad
But first configure the default:
This layout is applied when you do not want to use specific templates from the applicant management system and want all applicants to receive the same application form.
This layout is also automatically adopted when you remove a template in the applicant management system, but the job ads on the career page are still assigned to this template.
Click the first tile "Default".
Structure of the New Application Form
The new application form is designed so that the applicant can enter the required information step by step.
Generally, the layout is divided into two parts.
On the left side, you have the option to enhance the layout with a suitable image. At the same time, the applicant has an overview of all steps.
On the right side is the actual form.
Settings
The application form can be customized in various ways to suit your needs.
It depends on what information you expect from your applicants: Do you need a lot of information that the applicant should disclose, or do you only need a minimum of information.
As a rule of thumb: If you want to know more about the applicant and may have created specific job questions in the applicant management system, it is advisable to divide the form into separate steps. If you want to keep the form short and concise, you can skip this division.

Settings: Enable Steps
By default, the application form is divided into several steps.
If you want to keep your application form short and concise, for example by omitting the CV upload and additional questions, we recommend disabling the steps.
If the steps are disabled, the following will also be hidden accordingly:
the round buttons,
the headline and
the overlay
in the image area.
Settings: Custom Labels for Attachments and Cover Letter
Often, in addition to the resume, certain certificates or other job-specific documents are required. In this case, you can customize the label of the button for uploading additional attachments.
The label of the cover letter field and the note below can also be customized here.

All three main headings can be customized as needed:
CV block heading

Settings: Image and Overlay
Use the predefined image or upload your own image.
The optimal image is a landscape format with the subject slightly shifted to the right. While a portrait crop of this image is displayed on a desktop device, a landscape crop of the same image is used on a tablet or mobile phone.
You can adjust the transparency of the overlay by moving the slider accordingly. If the image is already in dark tones, the overlay can also be disabled.

The following form fields can be enabled/disabled and marked as mandatory:

Attachments
By default, the button for uploading additional attachments is displayed below the CV block. However, if you have disabled the CV block, we recommend displaying the attachments below the personal data.

Salutation
Academic title
Phone number
The following form fields are mandatory and cannot be disabled, as they are necessary for an application:
First name
Last name
Email

Thank You Page
The thank you page is displayed to the applicant as the final step in the application process after the application has been successfully submitted.
The following configuration options are available:
Image
Use the predefined image or upload your own image.
The optimal image is a landscape format. The subject is overlaid in the center by a window with the survey options below. Make sure there are no essential contents, such as the logo, in the center of the image.
