When publishing job postings to StepStone Austria via our Applicant Tracking System (ATS), it is important that your ad meets the external job platform's specific requirements.
This article guides you through the key steps, focusing specifically on two mandatory elements: classifying the role as an internship and using structured text in the job description.
First, activate the toggle switch.
Next, fill in the required content sections.
❗Ads without structured text may be rejected or displayed incorrectly by StepStone Austria.
1️⃣ Specify the salary in the "Benefits" section
The salary must be stated in the "Benefits" section within the structured text. This is the only way to ensure it is correctly transmitted to and displayed on StepStone.
2️⃣ Select a StepStone Austria product
Choose the StepStone product you wish to use for your job posting.
Enter "StepStone" in the search field under premium job boards.
The two main products will appear:
Starter
Professional
Add the desired product to your shopping cart. After clicking "Add to cart," a dropdown menu appears with the following fields:
Work field
Sector
Contract type
⚠️ Intended as Internship (especially important!)
Experience
Work type
3️⃣ Indicate whether the position is an internship
A particularly important field is the "Intended as Internship" dropdown menu.
✅ StepStone Austria requires this field to be explicitly selected. Choose:
Yes – if it is an internship
No – for all other positions
❗ If this field is not filled out correctly, your ad may be rejected or fail to publish correctly.
4️⃣ Review & Publish
Carefully review all details once more – especially:
The "Intended as Internship" field
The structured text formatting
You can then submit the listing for approval or publish it directly.
